Professor Snead is Chief Medical officer at Histofy, a Coventry based company developing AI solutions for cellular pathology. He still works as a consultant cellular pathologist at the University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) and visiting Professor of at the University of Warwick. He has been a pathologist at UHCW for 25 years. He was director of PathLAKE, a UK funded centre of excellence in artificial intelligence in digital pathology.

He is an international expert in the use of digital pathology, having led UHCW to be one of the first hospitals in Europe to switch to digital pathology for routine diagnosis. His team published the world’s largest validation study on the use of digital pathology, and was the recipient of the 2016 Roger Cotton Prize from Histopathology.
