Jim Davies is Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Oxford, a Group Leader within the Oxford Big Data Institute and Chief Technology Officer of the Thames Valley and Surrey NHS Secure Data Environment.  He is also the Director of the Oxford EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Health Data Science.  He was CTO of Genomics England Limited from 2013 to 2017, of the NIHR Health Informatics Collaborative from 2012 to 2022, and of the UK National Consortium of Intelligent Medical Imaging from 2018 to 2023.  His research interests include the development of languages and tools for data-driven clinical and translational research.
