Simon Ball is the Senior Responsible Owner for the West Midlands Secure Data Environment. He is based at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) where is a consultant nephrologist and was previously Chief Medical Officer. He leads Birmingham Health Partners data theme and is Senior Science Advisor at HDRUK having been Research Director for the Midlands between 2018 and 2023.
