We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Masood Nazir as Chair of the West Midlands Secure Data Environment (WM SDE) Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board (CSAB). 

With Masood’s extensive experience working across different areas and levels of healthcare, he will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction and development of WM SDE, ensuring that our work continues to deliver high-quality, impactful outcomes for patients, clinicians, and researchers across the region. 

The Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board plays a critical role in providing independent expert advice and oversight – a critical friend – supporting the safe, ethical, and effective use of data within WM SDE. Over the coming months, we will be working together to build the CSAB, aiming to bring together clinical, scientific, and academic perspectives across West Midlands to inform priorities, strengthen governance, and ensure that WMSDE can continue to grow with support from expert advice and oversight.
